At what temperature is too cold to install a new roof and Vinyl Siding? I live in Chicago.?

At this time the temperature during the day is the mid-50, could be 30 degrees or less by the time the materials are delivered. Should I wait until the next srping? No reason has to do at this point we have no leaks.

I used to be a roofing contractor in MI, I always shut down before Christmas (except repairs) and took a backup in the spring. most roofing and cladding materials are not guaranteed when installed below 40 degrees. Most products temporary roofing warranties come with false anyway, but I know that a contractor I can not offer the same service in adverse weather conditions. materials become brittle, harder to cut, blow through the nails, etc. .. Worker morale is much lower, output declines. look, you can definitely but you do get a much better job in the spring. ps did you know vinyl is the most toxic materials in the construction industry?
