Vinyl Siding J Channel Installation
Poor installation window – How I can fix it?
I recently noticed that the windows of my house built 2001 is installed badly (we moved two years ago.) We have a vinyl dress colonial here in Massachusetts. The windows have a nailing flange and a built in J-channel for Vinyl Siding. The problem is that (I think), complete the nailing flange was not used. In many windows, I suspect that only the corners of the windows were nailed or screwed. I can grab the center of the window from the inside, push outwards and create a space of at least 1 / 4 "between the window frame and the side windown inside tips on how to solve this problem? I guess that the most easy it would be the destruction of the center outward as you described and inject some kind of adheseve caulk.io think you know the right path, remove siding, flanges Screw, flanges tape, replace siding.good luck!
